How can you tell when your roof needs to be inspected? There are many things you need to be aware of – here are the warning signs!

Have you had your roof inspected in a while? Roof inspection should be on the top of your home checklist. You can inspect the roof yourself by looking at it from the ground. You should call a roofing professional if you find anything unusual. Reggie Reed Roofingcan be reached at any time to provide a free estimate. These are three signs that you should seek professional help.

3 Warning Signs You Need A Professional

  1. Roofing Shingles: Are your shingles curving or buckling in the wind? This is not normal. If hot air is trapped in your attic, it can heat your shingles and cause them to curl. Leaks are more likely to occur when your shingles have curled. Also, you might want to inspect your roof for dark spots caused by missing shingles.
  2. Gutters: Your gutters are an essential part of your roofing system. If they become blocked, it can lead to roof damage. The clogged gutters will allow water to seep into your roof shingles and build up. To prevent any damage, we recommend cleaning your gutters at minimum twice per year.
  3. Flashing: is used to protect your roof from water damage. This is a thin strip of metal that can be found around junctions or points like chimneys. These areas should be inspected for cracks and leaks.
